Kirsten Hanson

Gardening has always been more than a hobby to me — it’s a way to create beauty, improve wellbeing, and bring people together.

With a background in both horticulture and hands-on craftsmanship, I combine creativity, practical knowledge, and real-world experience to help gardeners succeed, especially in challenging short-season climates.

I hold a Garden Design and Maintenance Diploma and bring over 15 years of outdoor gardening experience, along with 10 years of indoor hydroponic gardening experience.

My background also includes Red Seal certification in Construction Electrical, giving me a strong foundation in problem-solving, systems, and functional outdoor spaces.

In addition, I have two years of floral design experience, allowing me to blend gardening with artistic floral creativity.

My mission is to help bring gardening back into our homes and everyday lives — not only for the beauty it creates, but for the health, connection, and sense of community it inspires.

“I believe gardens have the power to nourish both people and places, whether through growing food, cultivating flowers, or simply creating spaces where families and communities can gather and thrive.”

Through coaching, design, and education, I aim to make gardening approachable, rewarding, and achievable for gardeners of every skill level.
